My review of the Brooks PureCadence 3 has taken me a while
as I've had mixed feelings about the Pure range. There are things I like about
the shoes (minimal drop, comfort) and some bad ideas (nav band, firm cushioning).
The PureCadence doesn't provide the cushioning I'd like for the weight, and the
foam breaks down rather quickly. I've included a comparison with the PureFlow
and PureConnect, plus the Clifton, One2, Kinvara, and Virrata. Brooks PureCadence 3 Review

Mizuno Wave Universe 5 Review
When you absolutely, positively, got to have the lightest
shoe in the race; accept no substitutes. Of course, it's probably not the
fastest shoe, but the Wave Universe 5 is ultra-light and surprisingly comfortable
(for a minimalist shoe). Mizuno Wave Universe 5 Review

Polar M400 Review
Here's my review of the disappointing Polar M400, which has
poor GPS accuracy and no cadence support. It would have been a great watch if
it had been released back in 2010, but not now. Polar M400 Review

Updated suggestions for Gifts for Runners
It's a little late in the season, but I've updated my list
of gift suggestions for runners. I've added some more books, including the
Oatmeal and The Old Man and the Sea (best book on ultrarunning ever). http://fellrnr.com/wiki/Gifts_for_Runners

Saucony Hattori Review
I've added a review of the Saucony Hattori, a remarkably
light, minimalist shoe. It's been discontinued, but it's still available. I
compare it with the Mizuno Wave Universe, Asics Gel Hyper Speed and the Altra
One2. I'm also working on the comparison table to add in the 12 shoes I'm
testing at the moment. Saucony Hattori Review
