I've updated my page on the Calories burned running and
walking. The page now shows the values based on the weight you input, giving Calories
per mile/Km as well as Calories per hour. I also have a chart showing the pace
you would go up a hill if you kept the same effort as running on the flat. http://fellrnr.com/wiki/Calories_burned_running_and_walking

Updated VDOT Calculator's Long Run Difficulty
I've tweaked my calculation of the relative difficulty of
different length and pace long runs that's part of my VDOT calculator. I'm now
using a formula for working out VO2max pace (vVO2max) rather than assuming it's
mile race pace. http://fellrnr.com/wiki/VDOT_Calculator

The Science of the Long Run
I've spent many hours over the last 6 weeks looking at what
we know about the long run. It's surprising how little research has been
performed on this critical aspect of endurance training, but what evidence
there is I've summarized as http://fellrnr.com/wiki/The_Science_of_the_Long_Run

Now with added Science - Updated Comparison of Energy Gels
I've made a number of updates to my comparison of energy
gels, including an overview of the typical ingredients, breaking down the types
of carbohydrates used, estimating the amount of water needed to be isotonic,
and listing the ingredients for each gel. I've also tweaked my ratings for some
of the gels slightly. http://fellrnr.com/wiki/Comparison_of_Energy_Gels
