Locus of Control and Running

Some people believe they are in control of their lives, while others believe that external forces control them. Locus of control is the term for this belief in internal or external control, and Internal Control Index is one test to measure it. I created a JavaScript page that simplifies taking the test, along with a survey for people to record their ICI value and their running status. I hypothesize that runners will have a higher ICI than non-runners, and this survey is a way of evaluating this.

If you are interested, go to http://fellrnr.com/wiki/Internal_Control_Index and see what your value is, then fill in the survey box below. (This is the first time I’ve used Survey Monkey, so let me know if you have a problem.)
