Magnesium for running and health



Magnesium is a critical nutrient, but the majority of Americans are probably deficient. Insufficient magnesium impacts health in many ways, from poor running performance to diabetes, osteoporosis, and even premature aging. There are also indications it can help with migraines, insomnia, and depression. Supplementation is generally safe, though some forms can cause GI problems. I've rewritten my article, reading 100+ research papers over the last 6 weeks.
