To my surprise, Viagra may help improve exercise at altitude as well as treat altitude sickness. I’ve written a new Wiki article on the subject based on the available scientific research available. I’ve also updated several other Altitude pages to clarify the terminology between Intermittent Hypoxic Exposure (brief periods of low oxygen at rest) and Intermittent Hypoxic Training (exercising with low oxygen).
